Extended leaves
In the event of extended leaves, such as maternity, parental or sick leave, we follow different guidelines than Self-Managed Time Off since there are government-paid programs that are put in place to help employees receive pay while they are away from work.
To help during the transition from working to your extended leave, GlobalVision will gift you 1 week paid by the company at the beginning of your leave. This should be requested as Self-Managed Time off
in BambooHR with a note stating it's for maternity/parental leave/sick leave. Then, the employee must request Extended Leave
in BambooHR for the remainder of their leave and apply for their government-paid program (see resources below).

An email to your manager and HR is required with your anticipated leave dates and the reason for the leave (maternity/parental/sick). For medical leaves, a doctors note may be requested.
