GlobalVision believes in setting our employees up for success and our goal is for you to be comfortable and productive in our remote-first workstyle.
When a GlobalVisionary starts, our IT team will make sure that you are set up with the Standard Equipment needed for your job. This includes:
Laptop (Windows or Mac)
Monitor
Headset (for customer-facing roles, upon request)
For any additional home office equipment, the guidelines are provided below.
Guidelines
For all other home office gear, you can expense $500 CAD every 2 years. The equipment is yours forever!
This applies to the approved list of office gear below:
Mouse
Keyboard
Webcam
Headset / Headphones
Mic
Chair
Desk / Standing desk
Monitor
Green-screen
Lighting
You can only purchase office-related items. Think about what you would need for your workspace if you were at the office and would expense. This budget is not meant for Apple watches or wall art.
If you would like to purchase an item that is not listed above, please reach out to HR.
You cannot buy a printer, USB key, or filing cabinets. Storing data out of our systems is a security risk. See Remote Work Policy
When does the $500 budget reset?
The budget will reset every 2 years on June 1st.
For anyone hired after June 1, 2023, the $500 budget will reset every 2 years on your work anniversary.
We work on an Honour System: We trust that you only purchase items on the approved list and do not expense beyond the budget
Eligibility
Permanent, full-time employees are eligible to participate in this program. Part-time employees or interns are not eligible for reimbursement.

FAQs
What if the item I would like to purchase is more than $500?
You can purchase the item but will only be reimbursed up to $500 every 2 years.
If I do not use the entire $500 budget, does it roll over?
There is no carryover if the entire $500 budget is not used in 2 years.
