Health and Wellness Budget

At GlobalVision, we’re committed to supporting your physical and mental well-being. Our Health & Wellness Benefit is designed to help you take care of yourself—wherever you’re working from.


Guidelines

To support your health and wellness, GlobalVision offers $250 CAD per year to put toward wellness-related items or services that support your health—whether it’s physical, mental, or emotional. It’s our way of helping you prioritize what makes you feel your best.

Eligible Purchases

  • Gym memberships and fitness class passes

  • Home fitness equipment

  • Wearable fitness trackers

  • Therapy or counselling services

  • Wellness app subscriptions (e.g., meditation, mindfulness, or fitness subscriptions)

  • Coworking space access (to support mental well-being with a focused workspace and social connection)

  • Clothing and apparel

  • Personal electronics with no health or wellness benefits (e.g., TVs, gaming consoles)

  • Supplements or vitamins

  • Spa services

  • Medical expenses

The benefit is for personal health and wellness purposes only. This budget is not intended for medical expenses, apparel, supplements, or non-wellness-related purchases.

If you are unsure whether an item qualifies, please reach out to HR for clarification.

When does the $250 budget reset?

  • The budget resets annually on January 1st.

  • Unused funds do not roll over to the next year.

We work on an Honour System: We trust that you only purchase items on the approved list and do not expense beyond the budget.

Eligibility

Permanent employees are eligible to participate in this program. Interns are not eligible for reimbursement.


Purchase & Expense Procedure

If your item is WITHIN the $250 budget - Use your Float card
  1. Set up your Float Card.

  2. Click “Request Spend” in the top lefthand corner of your Float account.

  3. Provide specific details about what you’re planning to purchase (Health and Wellness Benefit).

  4. Choose the type of limit increase and the amount you need for your purchase.

    1. Include the name of the item you would like to purchase in the Comment section.

  5. Once approved, purchase your item/service with your Float card!

If your item is OVER the $250 budget - Use your personal credit card and expense
  1. Purchase your item on the approved office gear list above with your personal credit card.

  2. Use the 💳Reimbursements Guide to complete your reimbursement request, indicating the $250CAD that needs to be reimbursed.

  3. You will receive your reimbursement directly to your personal bank account.

FAQs

What if the item I would like to purchase is more than $250?

  • You can purchase the item, but you will only be reimbursed up to $250 per year.

If I do not use the entire $250 budget, does it roll over?

  • No, there is no carryover of unused funds to the next year.

Can I use this benefit to purchase supplements or medical treatments?

  • No, this benefit is intended for wellness-related expenses such as fitness, wellness, and mental health support.

What if I want to purchase something not listed?

  • If you are unsure whether an item qualifies, reach out to HR before making the purchase.
